About Us
The Vietnam War Internet Project is an educational organization dedicated to providing information and documents about the various Indochina Wars and to the collection and electronic publication on the web of oral histories and memoirs of both those who served in and those who opposed those conflicts.
This site is humbly dedicated to all those, combatant and non-combatant, hawk or dove, across four continents, whose lives were profoundly affacted and forever altered by the conflicts in Indochina.
The concept behind VWIP was developed by John Tegtmeier, and the existing effort is the result of a collaboration between John and Frank Vaughan. The first iteration of the site was on space graciously donated by the LBJ Library in Austin Texas. While we no longer utilize their resources, we remain in their debt.
